  • 2016

    • Mercury and Element become Vantiv Integrated Payments.
    • Vantiv wins 2016 Pay Awards for OmniShield Assure in Fraud Fighter category and Mercury StoreCard wins in Best Choice Retail Card category
    • Mercury named 2016 Best Channel Vendor by Business Solutions Magazine for the 8th year in a row.
    • Element, a Vantiv company, named to 20 Fastest Growing Software Companies list by Silicon Review.
  • 2015

    • Vantiv releases Vantiv iQ, a complete payments reporting, servicing and analytics solution for merchants and financial institutions.
    • USPS selects Vantiv for complete suite of omnichannel solutions
    • Element receives PCI Council’s P2PE solution validation
    • Vantiv becomes the second largest merchant acquirerin the United States
    • Mercury wins two prestigious customer service awards, one international and one national award from the National Customer Service Association for “Service Team of the Year”
    • Mercury and Element named 2015 Best Channel Vendor by Business Solutions Magazine
  • 2014

    • Acquisition of Mercury Payment Systems, LLC, an integrated-payments technology and industry service leader whose solutions are embedded into point-of-sale software applications and brought to market through their dealer and developer partners
    • The new Mercury building in Durango received LEED certification
    • New partnership with Microsoft on a range of solutions that will bring omnichannel commerce and payment solutions to businesses of all sizes
    • New partnership with AT&T to offer an innovative mobile suite of products including Vantiv Mobile Accept and Vantiv Mobile Checkout, products that will deliver highly secure, integrated and speedy on-the-spot mobile transactions to businesses of all sizes
  • 2013

    • Acquisition of Element Payment Services, a Phoenix ,Arizona-based payment processor and provider of fully-integrated PCI DSS compliant payment processing solutions for merchants and business management software providers
  • 2012

    • Vantiv, Inc. became a publicly-traded company on March 22, 2012, listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “VNTV”
    • Acquisition of Litle & Co., a Lowell, Massachusetts-based payment processor specializing in eCommerce and card-not-present transactions
  • 2011

    • Fifth Third Processing Solutions becomes Vantiv, adopting new branding in June 2011
    • Vantiv relocates from the Fifth Third Center in downtown Cincinnati to a free-standing headquarters in Symmes Township
    • Paperwork filed with SEC in preparation for an initial public offering (IPO)
  • 2006 - 2010

    • Purchased Card Management Corporation (CMC) headquartered in Evansville, IN
    • Stored Value Card platform expanded to include health savings accounts, disposable gift cards, and reloadable card programs
    • Now processing 11.2 billion transactions annually with a network transaction response time of .59 seconds
    • Acquired TNB Card Services based in Dallas, TX; acquired National Processing Company (NPC) based in Louisville, KY; acquired certain assets of Springbok Services, Inc. Prepaid Platform based in Englewood, CO
  • 2000 - 2005

    • Acquired Integrated Delivery Technologies, Inc. (IDTI) and Cartel Network
    • Acquired ACI Merchant Services Bankcard volume $46 billion, ranked 7th in the nation
    • Midwest Payment Systems drives over 8,000 ATMs and processes for over 80,000 merchant locations
    • Name changes from Midwest Payment Systems to Fifth Third Processing Solutions, reflecting growing national industry presence and capabilities
    • Fifth Third Processing Solutions processing for over 120,000 merchant locations, driving ATMs in France, Germany, Iceland, Great Britain, United States, Netherlands, Cuba, Honduras, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, and Taiwan
  • 1990s

    • MPS processing volume grows to $2 billion while bank market share was less than 1% and Fifth Third ranked 25th in the nation
    • MPS expands to offer Merchant Services
    • Signed country's largest grocery store chain as a merchant processor
  • 1970-1990

    • Developed offline ATM Network
    • Fifth Third Bank forms Midwest Payments Systems (MPS) to provide Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) services to financial institutions
    • Launched the Jeanie® network - the first online shared ATM network in the United States
    • Bankcard processing volume hits $1 billion
