Earlier this week, Deputy CFO Stephanie Ferris was honored for her work in the payments industry at the Card Forum & Expo in Los Angeles. Payments Source selected Ferris as one of the “Most Influential Women in Payments” for her leadership at Vantiv and FifthThird Bank over the last 15 years. Ferris, along with a number of the other winners, spoke on a panel discussing how the payments industry has changed and innovated in the last decade. Ferris called it an exciting time to be in payments.
The panel also discussed ways to make sure more woman and minorities are promoted and involved in developing and implementing the strategy of the companies that make up the payments industry. Ferris told the group she was proud of the strides we have made as an industry, and hopes to see even more women move into C-Suite roles in the next few years.
When it comes to change, Ferris has followed the mantra: the best way to respond to change is to embrace it, evaluate the change and evaluate who we are as a company. This philosophy has served her well through various roles at both Vantiv and other financial institutions. Ferris has contributed to Vantiv’s success by helping to revitalize our bank referral business into one of the fastest growing line of business for the company. She was also instrumental in taking Vantiv public, a process that started during the economic crisis.
Ferris has focused on growing not only the company but the talent inside the company as well. She has been a great mentor to women through programs like the Vantiv Women’s Business Network, of which she is founding member.
Congrats Stephanie Ferris on the well-deserved recognition!
