The change from Daylight Saving Time to Local Standard Time occurs on Sunday, November 5, 2017. During this event clocks are moved backward by one hour. As such, Vantiv must also make updates to our processing systems.
Vantiv systems will undergo maintenance on Sunday morning, November 5. This maintenance will include both the normal table updates and modifications for the time change for the Florence, KY data center and the time change only for the Grand Rapids, MI data center. Performing both the time change and normal maintenance updates at the same time for the Florence data center eliminates the need for a second maintenance on the same weekend.
Florence, KY and Grand Rapids, MI data centers will not be down simultaneously. Our Grand Rapids data center will cycle again for normal table updates on Tuesday, November 7, adhering to our normal maintenance schedule.
Although Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2:00 a.m. on November 5, Vantiv will not perform maintenance until 3:00 a.m. EST. The maintenance event will last approximately thirty minutes. As a result, it is possible that your point-of-sale receipts may be off by one hour in all time zones for some portion of this event.
We encourage you to share the timing of these changes with your associates so they are aware of the maintenance occurring Sunday morning, November 5, instead of Monday morning, November 6.
