Mobile shopping goes big on Black Friday

IBM Watson Trend shows leaps in mobile device role  

The Black Friday Report 2015 from IBM Commerce suggests an explosion in the role of smartphones and mobile devices as both traffic and sales source this Black Friday.  According to the report, mobile devices were responsible for 57.2% of online retail traffic and 36.2% of online sales. Compared to 2010—when mobile accounted for 5.6% of traffic and 3.2% of sales, this year’s tracking highlights a tenfold increase in the role of mobile devices in online commerce over five years.
